Earthquake weather

timeless stillness tonight

as it must have been this way in the beginning

these desert mountains combine with the sky into a place of their own

dry so very quiet so timeless
the hazed blue pink dusk where the sun has set ageless

the jack rabbited cottontails come out to carefully eat
along side them the wassailing quail their never ending playmates

side by side in tune and on their own wavelengths
