2 little birds

2 little birds
flew onto the eaves on my patio

perched on a ledge that seemed a nice secluded roost

chirping so joyously with the sounds and sights of spring

i shouldn't have, but i did
crept so gently to just look at them

and off they flew like embarrassed young lovers
and now I am left with no nest in the eaves on my patio
